What Is the Google 3-Pack?
The 3-Pack is the block of three local listings, shown with a map, that appears above the standard results for local searches.
Why three positions decide a local market
On a phone, the 3-Pack can fill the screen. Anyone below it sits behind a 'more places' tap that most searchers never make.
Each listing carries a rating, review count, distance, hours and a call button — meaning the searcher can act without visiting a website at all.
How Google picks the three
Google describes local ranking as relevance, distance and prominence. Two businesses with identical profiles will rank differently for two searchers standing a mile apart, which is why a single 'rank' number is misleading.
Getting in

- Services listed individually so you're eligible for more queries
- Review volume and recency at least matching the current top three
- Consistent business data across the web
- A relevant, fast website with genuine service and location content
